The RDVV (Demarcated Region of Vinhos Verdes) extends throughout Minho, occupying an area of 34,000 hectares of vineyards.

Vineyard Plots

Vine plots in Minho are generally small. Much is less than 0.5 ha. There are about 289,000 vineyard plots spread across all over Minho [1].

Winemakers

About 30,000 winemakers work these vineyards throughout the annual campaign, which ends in August.

Bottlers

There are around 600 bottlers in the region.

A year, 92 million liters of wine are produced.

In addition to the main importers and consumers of Vinho Verde (United States, France and Brazil), Minho wines are exported to more from 80 countries worldwide.
