Leiria.

Caldas da Rainha, 256 km², has a population of 50,917 inhabitants (INE 2021). In 2011
it had 51,729 inhabitants, thus having had a drop of 1.6% in the resident population.
Location
The municipality of Caldas da Rainha is limited to the northeast with
Alcobaça, to the east with
Rio Maior,
south with
Cadaval, west with
Bombarral and
Obidos and northwest by the Atlantic Ocean.

The city was founded and developed thanks to its hydro-thermal resources. Always associated with the name of Queen Da. Leonor,
the wife of King D. João II of Portugal. Its sulfurous waters attracted wealthy families who came there for a cure.
